Keep everyday payments separate

Paying for a meal in China and paying a travel agency under a contract are different activities. For your tour, use only the verified company merchant instructions supplied by the contracting agency. ChinaTourCo does not receive the tour payment.

Check your own payment options

Review the official instructions of your card issuer and any wallet provider you plan to use. Confirm registration, supported cards, identification, fees, limits and recovery procedures for your own account. Compatibility can vary and should not be assumed.

Prepare a backup

Check how you will obtain cash and whether your bank allows international use. Bring an alternative payment method kept separately and preserve access to the phone number used for verification. Do not share card details, passwords or one-time codes with a guide or through this site.

Before sending an agency payment

Verify the legal merchant and contract reference. If instructions change, confirm through a previously verified contact rather than replying only to the new message. Ask for a receipt and separate written confirmation of booked resources.

Current rules need checking

This is a preparation checklist, not a confirmation of provider availability, current limits or fees. Use the official sources below and your own bank before travel.
