How many days?

Consider three days for an introduction: one for the central city, one for technology or design interests and one for a slower neighborhood or coastal outing. Two days means choosing between themes. A business meeting day is not a full sightseeing day.

Choose your focus

Futian offers a central-city introduction; Nanshan suits design and waterfront interests; Huaqiangbei can interest visitors curious about electronics. Retail districts do not imply factory access. Private company visits, laboratories and special demonstrations require explicit permission and may be unavailable.

Keep the pace realistic

Shenzhen is spread out. Group activities geographically and leave space for metro journeys, station exits and walking. A distant coastal day may require a substantial transfer; do not add it to an already full city day. Travelers who prefer shorter walks should request door-to-door transport details.

When plans change

Allow indoor alternatives for heat or rain. Recheck public holidays, museum opening days and reservations against your actual dates. A city guide cannot confirm that a particular venue is open or accessible for your group.

Combine thoughtfully

Guangzhou adds Cantonese food culture and older neighborhoods. A two-city journey needs a clear station-to-station and luggage plan. Hong Kong and Macao are separate cross-border planning decisions, not automatic add-ons.
