Build your own checklist

Your passport, nationality, travel purpose, residence, route, arrival port, onward destination and dates may all matter. Do not infer your eligibility from a friend’s experience or a generic social post.

Use the relevant official channel

Check the Chinese embassy or consulate responsible for your location and the National Immigration Administration. Where applicable, consult the official visa application channel identified by that mission. Confirm that the information applies to your exact route and dates.

Treat transit and cross-border routes separately

A transit policy is not automatically an ordinary tourist-entry permission. Hong Kong and Macao have separate entry arrangements. Verify every border crossing and any required onward travel evidence before making nonrefundable commitments.

Check again before departure

Reconfirm passport validity, visa or exemption conditions, permitted stay, entry points and supporting documents through official sources. Confirm boarding-document expectations with the airline as well. Save the relevant official instructions.

No eligibility decision here

ChinaTourCo does not determine whether you qualify for entry and cannot guarantee admission. These are verification steps, not a current legal conclusion or individualized immigration advice. Do not upload your passport to the initial travel enquiry.
