Check the exact stations
Large cities can have multiple railway stations and airports. Ask for the complete station name, terminal if applicable, service class and ticketing responsibility. A city name alone is not an adequate pickup instruction.
Allow for the whole journey
Add hotel checkout, local transfer, station procedures, waiting, luggage and the onward transfer. Avoid tightly connecting a flight or train to a nonrefundable activity. Ask the agency what happens when one leg is delayed.
Confirm booking conditions
Use official railway information or ask the agency to explain current ticket-release windows, identity requirements, baggage rules, change/refund conditions and seat arrangements. Tickets being requested is different from tickets being issued.
Local transport decisions
Metro can suit light luggage and flexible independent days; a private transfer may suit late arrivals, larger groups or mobility needs. Ask whether stairs, walking distances, child seats, luggage capacity, driver hours and parking charges affect your route.
Guangzhou and Shenzhen
A sensible two-city itinerary uses one deliberate move with the correct stations and hotel locations. Do not add a cross-border segment without separately checking entry requirements and the transport arrangements.
