Give it two or three days
A two-day visit can focus on an older neighborhood and a different view of the modern city. Add another day for museums, a food-led exploration or a slower pace. Trade-fair commitments can significantly reduce available leisure time.
Build around a food rhythm
Make room for a Cantonese breakfast or tea-house meal, then explore nearby streets rather than racing across town. Communicate dietary preferences in advance. A food theme does not guarantee that a particular restaurant can handle an allergy or has a confirmed reservation.
Balance old and new
Consider a neighborhood-led day around the city’s historic areas and another around the river or modern districts. Check actual museum reservations and walking distances. For families, schedule a rest rather than treating every evening as another sightseeing slot.
Arriving and moving on
Confirm which railway station and airport your tickets use. Do not equate the train’s running time with the complete hotel-to-hotel transfer. Include luggage, station procedures, local connections and a buffer.
Pair with Shenzhen
Use a single deliberate intercity move and a sensible overnight split. Avoid switching hotels merely to add another city name. Verify holiday and exhibition dates before deciding the hotel budget.
